Getting ready to graduate

Gearing up for this semester, is a lot of focus on my main project of the moment. Into the Light. not many people are aware of why I choose this project. It is something very close to my own personal experience with God. Growing up in a non-religious family knowing there was something out there missing. Something that could answer my questions in life why I am here, what is my purpose here on earth. Searching for answers in many different things. The theory of evolution only answered how I got to be here on a physical level. My soul still needed answers. This all came to me one evening talking with one of my closest friends about his missions trip to Mexico, having his own struggles with his relationship with God, this missions trip had brought him closer to God than ever before. Hearing him talk about walking in the light of God and the comfort and joy that comes with that got me thinking about what was missing in my own life. The emotion of the conversation overcame me with a strong feeling of need for that joy and comfort in my own life. I started my journey into the light of God. Only being not even a year into my journey with God, I have noticed changes in my life as well within myself. I tend to seek the good in my day, instead of commiserating over the bad. I have found having hope in the everyday and the people in my life has made it a lot easier to grow. I am grateful to Nic, for showing me this way of life and I am thankful for being accepted into it by God. So, my project comes from that. Growing everyday, into different lighting techniques and ways of printing my prints. Hopefully in the end I will have a clear project that will represent my faith not only in God, but society as a whole.
